So for the past 4 1/2 years, Blake and I have had "discussions" almost every birthday and mother's day that it's about the gesture. He usually does pretty good, there has only been one birthday that he pretty much forgot (he'll never admit it), but there is usually something lacking that I want. Like I have to prompt him that I am hungry so should I make breakfast or did he want too, or that the baby is crying, is he going to get up and get him, or am I? Things like that, where I want him to think of it before I do. Kind of like the whole I want you to want to do the dishes! I really don't care if I get a gift or not, I just want him to set apart the day for me so it's special, I want a gesture! And because of that we usually end up arguing that he hasn't gotten up yet to make breakfast, and then it ruins the whole moment once he does! Does this sound familiar to anyone?? But I am glad to announce that we have hit a milestone!! This Mother's Day, I woke up at 7:00 to feed Maylee... Blake was already out of bed. At 7:30 Blake and Kaleb came in with probably the best breakfast in bed that I have ever had! He has definitely promoted himself to breakfast maker! Then he left the room for a minute and came back with a movie he made me about us! It was the sweetest thing! I watched it probably 5 times in a row! It was the perfect morning! The movie helped to to realize what a lucky girl I am. Not only do I have the two best kids anyone could ask for, but my husband loves me and would do anything for ME! Even though I really don't deserve it sometimes (other times I really do!)! But somehow I have him and I'm so glad. Thanks for the great mother's day babe, I love you!
