Maylee's 2 Month Pictures

I can not believe how big Maylee is getting! She's already going to be 3 months on Wednesday! She is developing quite the personality! MOSTLY all smiles and coos, but she definitely has her opinions and is very stubborn! In particular, she hates the car! She's fine if we have her sitting in the car seat and she can see people and still socialize, but as soon as we put her in the car she starts crying, and doesn't stop usually until we get her out of the car! She has cried for almost an hour before! Not the most fun times! But she makes up for it every other minute of the day with her cute smiles and "words" that she graces us with! Here are her two month photos we took about a month ago! Blogging hasn't been my priority lately (obviously)!

Maylee's Blessing Day

We had Maylee's Blessing on June 7th. She was so pretty! I had a good friend make her dress, it is a baby version on my wedding dress. It was a wonderful day, thanks to everyone who came to support us and helped with the luncheon! We are so lucky to have such wonderful (and so many) family around.  And especially thanks to Blake for being such a great dad and husband who holds the priesthood and honors it, so that these special days are possible!

It was worth the wait!

Us with my Grandma at Mother's Day Brunch in Sundance

So for the past 4 1/2 years, Blake and I have had "discussions" almost every birthday and mother's day that it's about the gesture. He usually does pretty good, there has only been one birthday that he pretty much forgot (he'll never admit it), but there is usually something lacking that I want. Like I have to prompt him that I am hungry so should I make breakfast or did he want too, or that the baby is crying, is he going to get up and get him, or am I? Things like that, where I want him to think of it before I do. Kind of like the whole I want you to want to do the dishes! I really don't care if I get a gift or not, I just want him to set apart the day for me so it's special, I want a gesture! And because of that we usually end up arguing that he hasn't gotten up yet to make breakfast, and then it ruins the whole moment once he does! Does this sound familiar to anyone?? But I am glad to announce that we have hit a milestone!! This Mother's Day, I woke up at 7:00 to feed Maylee... Blake was already out of bed. At 7:30 Blake and Kaleb came in with probably the best breakfast in bed that I have ever had! He has definitely promoted himself to breakfast maker! Then he left the room for a minute and came back with a movie he made me about us! It was the sweetest thing! I watched it probably 5 times in a row! It was the perfect morning! The movie helped to to realize what a lucky girl I am. Not only do I have the two best kids anyone could ask for, but my husband loves me and would do anything for ME! Even though I really don't deserve it sometimes (other times I really do!)! But somehow I have him and I'm so glad. Thanks for the great mother's day babe, I love you!
