So I don't forget....

This morning while eating breakfast I was talking to Kaleb about our mugs. His had stripes and mine had polk-a-dots on it. He said, "oh poke a dogs! Those naughty dogs! Spank a dogs, ok mommy?" I love him so much! It will be sad when he's a big teenager!

Halloween 2009

Halloween was so fun this year! I think I say that every year, but it just keep getting better and better! This time I had a Lion and a Lamb, and they were so cute! We started our festivities on Thursday with a friends Halloween party, with our play group. They had so much fun! The party was complete with mummy dogs, apple mouths (with teeth), ghost cupcakes (that's a whole other story), and cute little halloween games for the kids to play. Thanks for being so much fun to hang out with girls! I think I may have had more fun than the kids.... maybe!

Saddie, Asher, Kenna, Avonlea, Nix, Kaleb, Maylee, and Maddie

Lunch time!

Later that night Blake and the Kids went to another Halloween party at mine and Blake's grandma's retirement center (yes they live in the same one! Convenient!) I couldn't go because I had to work. Thus no pictures of that one! But then we had our ward chili cook off Friday night, which MY chili got third place, for the most "original" chili! I had to mention that because I never win anything, so I am feeling very accomplished right now! The ward party was fun, that one we have no pictures of either! Blake and I decided that day we were going to dress up, so we dressed up as "people from the 70's". Blake was a definite success! It is scary how well he can pull off white trash/ nasty 70's/ bloody zoo keeper! Every year people say they had to really make sure he wasn't real! Then the pictures after that are of Saturday. We had a party at my parents' house. My mom grew pumpkins this year, so all the grandkids got to carve a pumpin, then we had a yummy soup buffet, in bread bowls (so good). The of course trick or treating. We finished off the night, like always, at the Huff's house to put the kids down after three days of go, go , go and watched "The Burbs". It was a fun weekend. Needless to say, on Monday the kids took a 3 hour nap instead of the usual 1 1/2 hours at the most! It was great!

I know this is already a long post, but here are the two years before for halloween so I can proove my whole Blake point!

~My Dubs~

Dubs is 2! And very 2!! He's such a fun little guy, but whoa, do 2 year old through me for a loop! He totally has a mind of his own, and pretty much does what it tells him too, not what anybody else tells him too! It's a good thing he's not a bad little boy or I'd be in trouble! Here are some of his happenings....
*Talks like a four year old
*Is WORKING on potty training (I'd appreciate any tips!)
*Loves to build things (usually houses or guns) with legos and pvc pipe
*Loves to read books, we could read for hours if I let him
*Helps mommy unload the dishwasher
*Helps mommy fold laundry
*Helps mommy clean up toys
*Wants to help cook, so he has to watch everything I do
*Loves to sing songs, some of the favorites are popcorn popping, itsy bitsy spider, the wise man, I'm a child of God
*The only movie he'll watch is Kids Favorite Songs 2 (sesame street)
*Loves nursery, and is learning to be reverent in sacrament meeting
*Loves chips, and pretty much any other snack food, but especially chips! He asks for them when he wakes up!
*LOVES big trucks! Every Wednesday we wait by the window to watch the garbage man come
*Loves his "Here comes Trouble" shirt, and when he wears it he comes running into the room yelling "here comes trouble! Rrrroooooaaaarrrr!!"
*loves to dance, and can dance better than both his mommy and daddy
*Is learning his ABC's, can count to 10, and knows  Blue, Red, Green, and Yellow, and can match any color with it's own
*Loves to go on "Ventures" up the canyon and see waterfalls
*Collects rocks.... even steals them from grandma, the true rock collector. It's always a discovery when I do his laundry!
*Some of my favorite Kalebese: "I do it myself", "I go potty, just a sec mom", "Metty" = Maylee,
"tigger-poos"= chocolate teddy grahms (I think it's because the show My friends Tigger & Pooh- I did not teach him that!), "read book!", "Nuggle you mama", "Spy'dman undies!"

*My Maylee*

       She loves her daddy
    mmmm, yummy toes!
    She started on the blanket!

My baby is already 5 months! It's so funny because I have to remind myself that she's growing up! She still just seems to be my baby girl, with Kaleb I basically hovered over him waiting for him to reach that next mile stone. Maylee surprises me because she reaches her milestone, and I wasn't ready for it! Here are her happenings now....
*Broke her first tooth this week
*rolls and rolls
*Is the smiliest baby I've ever met
*Sleeps 12 hours a night, with two naps during the day (one long, one short)
*Loves to take baths, just kick, kick, kicks to her little hearts content
*Gives big loves back, she'll grab my face and squeeze while giving me the biggest, juiciest kiss
*loves her brother, doesn't even cry when he lays on her or pushes her too hard in the swing!
*  Wants to sit up constantly, will pull herself up in the bouncy seat
*Loves to play with her toys
*Loves to play with her hands, she'll study them for hours- crossed eyed!
*Finally enjoys the car (mostly) for about the first 3 1/2 months she cried and cried every time we were in the car
* I think her favorite thing is when we come to get her in the morning, she gets so excited with the biggest smiles and full body kicks!
*Loves to laugh, and has the cutest laugh

Children's Discovery Museum

This week my sister and I took our kids (and my other sister's kids) to the Discovery Museum at the Gateway. It was awesome! If you haven't been I highly recommend it! They had an actual Life Flight Helicopter, which I think was the highlight of the day. The whole down stairs was a little neighborhood that had a construction work-site, a house, a market, a farm, a fire engine, and a postal service. It was so cute. The kids could dress up as occupations and deliver the mail, buy groceries, take groceries from the farm to the market, ect. It was the coolest thing! The house had everything in it you could think of! Even a mouse hole that had a little set up in side for the mouse that lived there! It was so fun!

Rafting Down the Provo River, wanna come?

A couple weeks ago Blake, Bryce & his girlfriend, & I decided we were going to raft down the Provo river. It started out super positive, and then we got poured on! Enjoy the footage!

Blake's Birthday

My Birthday Boy!
Blake & His Grandma
 KICK THAT BALL!!
THE BALL IS A TENT... IT'S A CAMPING SCENE :)
Blake's birthday was in July, he's now 28! Man He's old! :) For his party we gathered at a park, played kickball, and had cake and ice cream. I'm especially proud of the cake:o) if you look back at all the birthdays we have posted the cake is the same rectangle cake with a half ball on it. Some people might criticize that, but I take pride in it because although that layout might be the same, the scene is different every time! Now that takes creativity! :)

Cowboys & Indians

Well, Kaleb is officially two now! For his party this year we had a Cowboys and Indians theme! It was so fun! We decided on the cowboy theme because Kaleb has become obsessed with his cowboy boots! He eats breakfast in cowboy boots, plays outside with cowboy boots, he would even sleep in them if I let him! He's so funny! We went on a walk the other day and he had to bring is little fire truck riding toy that you can either push or ride on, and wear his cowboy boots! I wish I had my camera with me because it was so cute! Him pushing his truck and wearing his cowboy boots and shorts, and telling everyone we passed Hi!
So for his party we went up Spanish Fork Canyon and had a campfire, roasted hotdogs, and had everyone dress up as cowboys and indians (we ended up with more cowboys!)! It was such a good time... I think the first night of the month we didn't have rain! So here are some pictures.....
